The treatment coordinator (TCO) role can seem very isolated as often most dental practices only have one team member with this title.

As a dental nurse for 23 years, I felt very much part of the team. However, during the last six years as a TCO I occasionally felt quite different about this.What I soon realised was that, without the help of the team, my job would be much more difficult.

We know treatment coordinators play a vital role in ensuring efficient and effective dental treatment processes. However, their success is heavily reliant on the support and collaboration of the entire dental team. The collective efforts and seamless coordination among dental professionals are essential to provide exceptional patient care, streamline clinical procedures, and enhance overall patient satisfaction.
