Optimising the digital workflow for the fabrication of full dentures

Overview
Learning Objectives
CPD Outcome

Minimally invasive procedures are becoming increasingly important; however, there are still patients who require complete restorations following total tooth loss. As an alternative to implant-supported prostheses, this lecture will offer dental professionals state-of-the-art methods and techniques for producing functional and aesthetically pleasing full dentures. By presenting real case examples, the lecturer will guide participants through the challenges encountered when creating a full denture with 28 teeth, considering various different initial patient situations: edentulous or wearing existing prostheses in good or poor condition.

The process of creating high-quality dentures also involves digital technologies and correct materials. For this reason, the lecture will introduce two new particularly biocompatible PMMA-based resins which feature an extremely low residual monomer concentration and will demonstrate how digital solutions ensure an efficient, accurate, and optimised workflow. The lecturer will also present an innovative technique for bonding teeth to denture bases using a working protocol based on the principle of cold welding.

Aims:
To offer dental professionals state-of-the-art methods and techniques for producing functional and aesthetically pleasing full dentures, demonstrating how digital solutions and high-quality materials can enhance workflow and quality, and to introduce an innovative protocol for bonding teeth to denture bases using the principle of cold welding.
