Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley claimed NHS dentists ‘can’t do extractions’
Unsurprisingly, TV presenter Richard Madeley caused quite a stir among dental professionals this week when he claimed that NHS dentists are ‘unable to carry out extractions’.
He said: ‘I was talking to a private dentist only last week, who was saying that so many people now have to go private because NHS dentists are not capable of doing extractions anymore.’
The BDA’s Eddie Crouch appeared on TV the next day to set the record straight with Madeley saying: ‘Don’t shoot the messenger.’
