The DS Academy Implant Curriculum is a new interactive collection of dental implant courses specifically designed to help build and expand clinicians’ digital implant skills. This is according to their level of experience and personal learning preferences.
The procedure-based curriculum offers an individual learning journey through all stages of implant treatment.
The aim is to provide clinicians with the knowledge, skills and inspiration needed to stay up to date with the latest materials and techniques to achieve clinical, technical and practice excellence.
Created by Dentsply Sirona in collaboration with international key opinion leaders and world-renowned implant clinicians, these interactive online courses focus on patient cases and procedures found in everyday practice.
You can explore the modules through engaging content. From videos and photos to software demos and illustrations, they use interactive e-learning methodologies and insights direct from the clinicians.
The curriculum offers end-to-end digital implant workflow solutions through self-paced online learning. It is the ideal way to learn more about implant dentistry with plenty of input from fellow clinicians, sharing their own experiences.
Find your level
As part of Dentsply Sirona’s educational commitment to supporting implant clinicians in providing the best possible care for their patients and improving oral health, this procedure-based series of implant courses uses individual cases to teach and demonstrate current implant treatment.
Clinicians can learn more about implant dentistry from foundational through to mastery levels so those just starting out on their implant career can start from the beginning, while those with more experience can join in further along the learning pathway.
Foundational – level 1: This introductory-level course for students and clinicians with less than two years’ experience in clinical practice provides a foundational understanding of digital implant workflows. This includes an introduction to intraoral scanning, the essentials of clinical photography and virtual case planning.
Procedure-based – levels 2-6: The next level procedure-based courses are designed for those with more than two years in clinical practice with experience in single and full arch implant cases.
Five courses cover posterior and anterior single-tooth implant procedures, multi-unit fixed partial dentures, full-arch implant overdentures and full-arch fixed prostheses.
Mastery – levels 7-8: For highly experienced implant clinicians, two mastery-level courses provide a comprehensive overview of advanced bone grafting materials and techniques.
This includes immediate placement/loading and the aesthetic zone. As well as complications prevention and management – with a focus on early implant failure and peri-implant disease.
