Painting external stains onto monolithic zirconia crowns

Axel Seeger presents great tips for painting external stains onto CAD/CAM crowns.

With the new monolithic materials, everything is possible. Ceramic virtuoso Axel Seeger designed picturesque monolithic zirconia crowns with detail so elaborate that age-appropriate crowns can be constructed – from juvenile-aged crowns to middle-aged crowns to geriatric crowns.

All images show monolithic zirconia pressed crowns, which have been specially characterised by painting on external stains.

The dental technician can make the aesthetic effects appear internalised in a simple way keeping in mind the basics of shape, surface and characterisation.
