Switzerland has topped the polls as the best place to live and work for dentists, according to Totally Money.
The poll ranks countries and various job types based on salary, hours worked, paid leave, cost of living and happiness.
Germany followed in second place, while Cyprus rounded off the top three countries.
‘When it comes to figuring out the best career for you,’ Henry Keegan, Totally Money, said.
‘It’s well worth considering the areas that offer the best work-life balance based on factors like salary and happiness,’
‘Whilst the UK ranks fourth in Europe for dentistry, dentists in Switzerland can expect to earn almost double.
‘With the added benefit of living in a country ranked sixth for happiness.’

The UK came fourth in the poll of best place to live and work as a dentist.

‘It’s great to see the UK riding high in the rankings of the best places to live and work,’ Andy Acton, director at Frank Taylor & Associates, said.
‘I would agree; I think the UK offers wonderful opportunities across the dental sector.
‘That said I would be happy to try out a ski lodge in Verbier to learn more about what makes Switzerland number one.’
Best place to live for dental nurses
Switzerland also topped the polls as the best place to live and work for dental nurses, Totally Money’s survey shows.
