A woman was left waiting for a response from British Airways after finding a loose dental implant in her plane meal.

A passenger on a British Airways flight found a loose dental implant in her inflight meal.

During her journey from London to Dubai, she first discovered the implant upon opening her inflight meal from the airline company.

Following the flight, she complained to British Airways about the incident but did not receive a response.

As a result, she tweeted the airline company directly and attached an image of the implant inside the meal.

 ‘This is appalling’

‘Still waiting to hear from you regarding this dental implant we found in our food on flight BA107 from London to Dubai on Oct. 25’, she tweeted.

‘We have all our teeth: it’s not ours.

‘This is appalling. I also can’t get through to anyone from your call centre.’

The image attached to her tweet shows the dental implant alongside her inflight meal of rice and broccoli.

In response to the tweet, British Airways said: ‘Hi there, we’re really sorry to see this! Did you give our cabin crew your details for our customer relations team to contact you?’

A dental professional responded to the passenger’s tweet: ‘Can I see more of it? I’m a dental implant specialist and I’m really curious.’

The Independent also approached British Airways for a comment. They replied: ‘We have been in touch with the customer directly to apologise and ask for further details so that we can investigate urgently.’
