Question Time – NHS England’s dental contract changes and the findings so far
Earlier this year, NHS England introduced changes to the dental contract.
Billed as the first significant change to the NHS dental contract since its introduction, the announcement was met with mixed responses from the industry, with some calling it ‘a new lease of life’, and others a ‘tinkering’.
Shawn Charlwood, chair of the British Dental Association’s General Dental Practice Committee, felt the contract changes were ‘modest, marginal changes’ that would ‘not fix the rotten foundations this service is built on’.
Four months on, Practice Plan are hosting a live ‘Question Time’ panel discussion with Nigel Jones, Chris Groombridge and Shiv Pabary MBE to discuss the question: have the contract changes had a significant impact on NHS dentistry?
During this one-hour webinar, the panellists will discuss their experiences of the changes to date, how they see them progressing in the next few months and what more can be done to save NHS dentistry.
In true Question Time style, the audience will get the opportunity to put their questions and thoughts to the panel throughout the webinar.
