Wail Girgis and Deepesh Patel: Impossible cases – who you gonna call and the right time to refer
Wail and Deepesh are specialist prosthodontists at Devonshire House Dental Practice, a specialist referral centre in Cambridge.
Now also a clinical director, Wail is an accomplished lecturer and examiner.
He created a comprehensive education programme at Devonshire House eight years ago which provides courses on many aspects of dentistry.
In addition, he regularly mentors fellow dental colleagues across the country, providing hands on training for complex treatments.
As a specialist prosthodontist, Deepesh offers collaborative dentistry to patients working closely with our network of referring dentists.
As well as this, he is especially skilled in the replacement of missing teeth, the restoration of natural teeth and in complicated and simple restorations of the whole mouth.
Their lecture will present an ‘overview of cases that seem impossible to treat where patients need the clarity of a step-by-step treatment plan to restore what seems like a hopeless situation.’
Wail and Deepesh hope delegates take away from their lecture:
- An understanding of how complex cases can be broken down and treated
- Confidence understanding how specialists and GDP’s can work in collaboration to help each other
- An understanding of when it is appropriate for a patient to be referred for specialist treatment.
