'Significant decline' in number of dental graduates taking up foundation trainingThe dental profession is witnessing a ‘larger than usual’ decrease in the number of dental graduates accepting foundation training places.

This week, Eddie Crouch, chair of the British Dental Association (BDA), told Dentistry.co.uk that practices are reporting a drop in the uptake of foundation places by newly-qualified dentists.

Although further research is needed to confirm the trend, it may come as no surprise given the chaos associated with the NHS during the pandemic.
