Treeline Dental is proud to have achieved a Silver Award from the Armed Forces Covenant.
The midlands-based dental group believes it has a responsibility to give back to the community it serves. This spirit of integration has seen a number of charity and community-based projects come to life that support local people. With over 14 sites, more than 250 staff and more than 90,000 patients a year, Treeline is a proud member of the Armed Forces Covenant. It has recently achieved a Silver Award, having supported the initiative for over three years.
What is the Armed Forces Covenant?
The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families will be treated fairly and with respect. It recognises the sacrifices they have made and aims to support them in their civilian lives.
There are various levels of recognition within the covenant, which are designed to reflect an organisation’s level of commitment. The scheme not only honours those who have served but also recognises the valuable interpersonal skills, dedication, and experience they bring to the workplace. It ensures that individuals with military backgrounds are not disadvantaged and are actively supported in continuing any service-related commitments, such as attending training or military courses.
Treeline Dental joined the covenant over three years ago at Bronze level. Since then, the dental group has consistently demonstrated commitment, which enabled it to apply for and achieve the Silver Award. Treeline also encourages and supports partner organisations in learning about the scheme and applying for it themselves.
Treeline’s head of business development Chelsea Foster, who is also an ex-serving dental nurse, introduced the Armed Forces Covenant to the group. Treeline Dental also has a dedicated Armed Forces champion, who is integral to providing tailored support to Armed Forces colleagues whose responsibilities include ensuring emotional wellbeing during challenging times.
Morale-boosting, tailored support
Today, Treeline Dental is proud of having a such a special close-knit team that provides morale-boosting, tailored support to our Armed Forces colleagues.
The Treeline Dental team includes a mix of ex-serving personnel, military dependants, and reservists from both the RAF and the Army. It understand the unique challenges faced by the Armed Forces community, whether that involves transitioning into civilian life or supporting families during deployments.
Chelsea Foster said: ‘We understand the unique challenges faced by the Armed Forces community whether that involves transitioning into civilian life or supporting families during deployments. Our commitment extends beyond employment as we foster a culture of respect and practical support for those who serve and their families.’
Dr Jimmey Palahey, co-founder of Treeline Dental said: ‘We recognise that military dependants are often placed in unfamiliar locations without nearby family support. That’s why we place great emphasis on being a supportive, close-knit team. However, our commitment extends beyond employment – it’s also about fostering a culture of respect, understanding and practical support for those who serve and their families.’
