Celebrating the 2025 Dentistry Top 50

We look back at last week’s celebration of the 2025 Dentistry Top 50 – a wonderful evening recognising progress and impact in UK dentistry.

Last week’s Dentistry Top 50 2025 celebration took place at the Park Plaza Riverbank on a beautiful sunny day, with stunning views of the Thames setting the scene for an unforgettable evening.

The event brought together some of the most influential people in UK dentistry – from educators and innovators to campaigners and clinicians. With great energy in the room, the guests connected over shared challenges, recent achievements, and specially crafted Dentistry Top 50 cocktails.

This year’s list puts real weight on recent impact. It’s not about legacy – it’s about momentum, action and tangible contribution. Many of those recognised are less vocal but no less vital, and the evening offered a rare chance to celebrate their work.

Congratulations to everyone who made the list – and thank you for continuing to push dentistry forward with creativity, compassion and conviction. You can find out who made the 2025 Dentistry Top 50 list here.

Making dentistry a better place

‘Last week’s event was all about celebrating the work the 2025 Dentistry Top 50 has done over the last 12 months to make the world of dentistry a better place.

‘The question I’m asked more than any other about the Dentistry Top 50 is: “How do you choose the list?” And it’s a fair question, but as with all fair questions, the answer is not very easy to answer. There’s no single criteria, because of course there isn’t, because there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to dentistry.

‘On this year’s list, we have people shaping public health policy next to innovators in clinical workflows, we have giants of private practice rubbing shoulders with heroes from community dentistry, educators, mentors, pioneers from the charity sector, and much more. As I see it, what unites these people is a desire to do better, to see things done differently and to not be afraid to take hard steps to deliver that.

‘This year, the list is putting a lot more weight on recent achievements. The 2025 iteration of the Dentistry Top 50 is less about legacy and popularity than any other year before it. It’s been shaped by other things: their voices, momentum and impact.

‘And what this has done is bring us to a list that I’m incredibly proud of for how representative it is of this diverse, occasionally disorderly, but always inspiring, profession.’

Congratulations to all

The evening was also attended by the Corsodyl team, who kindly sponsored this year’s Dentistry Top 50 event. Kav Datar, Haleon HCP marketing lead, said it was ‘an honour and privilege’ to be part of the evening, celebrating the ‘everyday heroes’.

She added: ‘We really want to congratulate each and every person on the list, and we’re so happy to be part of this celebration with you.’
