Houston Dental Group has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, to regional operator, Alliance Dental Care.
Houston Dental Care is one of the largest providers of dentistry in the UK.
Established in 1990 as a single-site practice, it has grown to six sites including a conference and training centre.
‘We would like to publicly thank everyone with whom we have had contact during our 29 years in north Somerset for their support,’ Ceri and David Houston, who led the business, said.
‘During our almost three decade-long journey, the practices have seen extensive growth and numerous changes.
‘We are extremely grateful to all those patients and professional colleagues who have supported us.’
‘Business as usual’
Alliance Dental Care, which purchased the Houston Dental Group, runs a small, high-quality group of practices from Hertfordshire.
It also has practices in Devon and Dorset, with this acquisition offering an opportunity to expand in the south west.

Drs Ceri and David Houston have decided to sell the group to plan for their retirement.
An influential dentist throughout his career, David Houston was named 41st in 2019’s Dentistry Top 50.
