The Laboratory Awards 2015 are now open, and here is the all important information and judging criteria for the various award categories
Now fully established as a key date in the laboratory profession calendar, this year’s Laboratory Awards are set to take place on 13th November at a leading London venue. Now is the time to start thinking about entering, with an early-bird discount for entries pre-registered before 14th July. The closing deadline for entries is 1st September, but don’t delay in putting your entry together and take your time to showcase the very best of your laboratory.
Each individual ticket to the ceremony includes a drinks reception, a delicious three-course meal, the awards ceremony itself and evening entertainment. The ceremony is a perfect opportunity for a Christmas party, bring the whole team along and celebrate UK dental achievements in true style!

Best High Technology Laboratory
This category is designed to recognise the UK laboratory which has invested in technology to make the most of the fast changing digital world. Working with new technology is both expensive and hard to adapt to but is undoubtedly the way things are going. This category is for labs who have taken the plunge and are now reaping the rewards of their foresight and investment.
To enter this category, all we need is up to 400 words about why you decided to invest in new technology, how you integrated it to your lab’s working systems and the benefits you are now seeing.
Best Crown and Bridge Laboratory
Crown and bridge remains an important part of the UK lab scene, but it is improving in quality all the time thanks to labs incorporating new equipment, technology, techniques and materials.
Simply send up to 750 words explaining why you are a contender for this award, including any, or a combination, of the following:
• Examples of clinical excellence (eg before and after pics)
• Service and efficiency
• Dentist/Client testimonials
• Supporting documentation and pictures
• Show how your laboratory uses techniques related to your field

Best Specialist Laboratory
Technological advances in the dedicated fields of implants and orthodontics have meant rewards for those looking to work in these areas. With a plethora of systems and equipment available, coupled with high patient demand, top private dentists are looking for high quality work from those labs which can meet the standards required.
Simply send up to 750 words explaining why you are a contender for this award, including any, or a combination, of the following:
• Examples of clinical excellence (eg before and after pics)
• Service and efficiency
• Dentist/Client testimonials
• Supporting documentation and pictures
• Show how your laboratory uses techniques related to your field
• Show evidence of training undertaken to enhance knowledge in your field

Best Private Laboratory
If you think your laboratory offers a great private service and your clients are happy with the products you provide. Why not take the recognition for this and tell us about it? You don’t have to be 100% private and the laboratory can be new or well established.
Simply send up to 750 words explaining why your mainly private laboratory is a contender for this award including any, or a combination, of the following:
• Examples of clinical excellence (eg before and after pics)
• Marketing plans and literature
• Team training/development information
• Pictures/videos of your practice
• Evidence of team leadership/happiness
• Evidence of uniqueness in your laboratory
• Evidence of how you go beyond the regular duty of care
• Dentist/Client testimonials
• Any other supporting evidence and pictures.

Is your team special and should they be recognised for their efforts? Do you have a great group of individuals who work cohesively together, creating a positive working atmosphere and supporting each other to enhance team performance. Give your staff the acknowledgement they deserve.

This is a great chance to show off your biggest and best achievements over the last 12 months. We wish to award the best dental laboratory in the UK who have made significant business progress. Can you demonstrate clinical excellence, great marketing plans, good team atmosphere and training? How do you differ from other laboratories?
