A team of television documentary makers is appealing to dentists for case studies to appear in a new show focusing on patients who have sought corrective treatment following poor dental work abroad.
Transparent Television is making the documentary for Channel 5 about cosmetic procedures, including dentistry work, that have not gone according to plan.
The programme will focus on the growing trend in dental and cosmetic surgery tourism, examining the risks involved in choosing to travel abroad for treatment without proper research, and the lack of legal and medical protection when things go wrong.
A spokesperson said: 'We are currently looking for case studies. We are working with a group of top UK cosmetic surgeons and dentists who are offering to help’.
'If you know of any such cases, perhaps someone has come to you following a bad experience outside the UK, it would be great to talk.'
