On 21 May, Dr Simon Fieldhouse showed viewers how to deliver quality indirect restorations with his session, Dentistry Live: inlay restorations reimagined.

Discover how to deliver high-quality indirect restorations in a single visit with confidence.

The Dentistry Live session introduced clinicians to efficient, digitally driven chairside workflows, with a focus on the production and fitting of inlays in just one appointment.

Inlays will never be the same again: restorative dentistry reimagined

Participants discover how integrating modern digital dentistry technologies, including intraoral scanning, CAD design and chairside milling, can transform their restorative workflow, reduce overall treatment time, and enhance both clinical outcomes and patient experience.

From patient arrival through to final fit, Simon guides participants through the complete chairside inlay process step-by-step, covering the key technologies, materials and workflows required for success.

The economics of this approach – including practice efficiency, patient value and return on investment – are also explored.

To discover how digital dentistry can elevate both your clinical outcomes and your practice performance, watch this unmissable Dentistry Live session on demand.

Speaker: Dr Simon Fieldhouse

BSc (Hons), BDS, FDSRCS (England), FCGDent, Specialist in Oral Surgery.

Simon qualified in 1992 at Liverpool University Dental Hospital and stayed on in the city to further his Specialist training in oral surgery. Whilst learning, he completed extensive research into 3D analysis of the head and neck, and tumour mapping using MRI. He is passionate about utilising dental technology to enhance patients’ treatment journeys and to reduce the impact on the environment wherever possible.

Simon is an international Key Opinion Leader for digital dentistry. He lectures across the UK and Europe on business and clinical aspects of digital dentistry and workflows and digital implantology.

Simon is also chair of the PEERS Digital Dentistry group in the UK. Simon is also a beta tester for Dentsply Sirona, testing new technology software and materials, which he says “keeps the mind working”.

At Dutch Barton Dental Practice, Simon offers patients oral surgery, general dental treatments and implants.

When he took over the practice in 2007, it was well-established with a loyal patient base but in desperate need of modernisation. Simon therefore combined his passion for traditional dentistry with modern technology to update the existing equipment, introduce new treatments and techniques.

Simon is committed to giving patients long term dental solutions to ensure their positive oral health. His investment in digital technology has allowed him to do this with much success.

Outside of work, Simon is a rugby coach and school governor.
