Dental unit waterlines: from biofilm to best practice

This webinar will help dental teams understand why dental unit waterlines are susceptible to biofilm.

Learn how a consistent, evidence-led approach combining effective treatment, standardised processes, regular monitoring and expert support can achieve and maintain drinking-quality water.

Learning outcomes

  • Explain what biofilm is and why dental unit waterline (DUWL) are particularly susceptible to its formation
  • Describe the difference between biofilm removal, ongoing waterline treatment and routine water quality monitoring
  • Identify the common operational and behavioural causes of inconsistent DUWL results
  • Explain why standardisation, team training and clearly assigned responsibility are essential for sustained improvement
  • Apply practical lessons from Aura’s experience supporting Alpron customers, including multi-site approaches used by medium and large corporates
  • Describe how quarterly testing, good record-keeping and root-cause investigation provide evidence of effective DUWL management
  • Recognise how Aura’s Compliance Club and CC Digital can support a simpler and more consistent approach.
