New partnership offers 'no drill' treatment for early tooth decay

Affordable dental care provider mydentist and biomimetic oral care brand vVARDIS are delighted to announce an industry-leading partnership providing a novel solution for early tooth decay.

In a first-of-its-kind partnership within UK dentistry, mydentist is set to offer Curodont Repair – vVARDIS’ revolutionary drill-free solution for early tooth decay – to its network of over 3,000 dental associates and circa 500 practices across the country.

Recently noted for treating more than two million teeth and over 800,000 patients in the United States since January 2024 (vVARDIS, 2026), vVARDIS is working with mydentist as the first large-scale dental provider partner to offer Curodont Repair to patients in the UK.

Using a proprietary biomimetic formulation, Curodont Repair is an innovative treatment that is clinically proven to arrest and reverse early tooth decay without the need of a drill. Working together with minerals in the saliva through biomimetic methods, it regenerates the enamel lost in the early stages of tooth decay – helping patients save the natural tooth structure without artificial filling materials.

Up to 80% of all dental patients have early tooth decay (Jacobsen et al, 2019). With Curodont, dental teams have a drill-free solution to treat it at an early stage. Applied by a dentist within 10 minutes and with more than 90% efficacy (Bröseler et al, 2020; Welk et al, 2020; Alkilzy et al, 2018; Godenzi et al, 2023), as proven by peer-reviewed publications based on clinical studies, long-term real-world evidence and meta-analyses, Curodont Repair represents a true win-win proposition. Patients benefit from a quick, needle- and drill-free treatment, while dental professionals can treat early decay within minutes – freeing up chair time for more complex procedures.

‘We’ll be able to transform the way that we treat our patients’

With over four million patients across the UK, mydentist remains the largest-scale dental provider in the country to offer both NHS and private dental care. Through its new partnership with vVARDIS, it hopes to decrease the amount of tooth decay in the country through offering Curodont Repair to patients who are presenting with early signs of caries.

Nyree Whitley, chief clinical officer at mydentist, said: ‘We know that tooth decay remains one of the top diseases in the world and with cases continuing to rise in the UK, we’re confident that Curodont Repair can help us to reduce the number of cases we see every day at mydentist. Through being able to offer this new treatment and working with vVARDIS, we’ll be able to transform the way that we treat our patients.

‘We also know that visiting the dentist to receive treatments such as fillings can cause some anxiety for patients, so through this non-invasive, simple treatment, we’ll also be able to enhance the patient’s experience and hopefully lower their dental anxieties while keeping their oral health in good shape.’

‘A drill-free treatment for early decay that aims to elevate the standard of care’

Drs Haley and Goly Abivardi, founders and co-CEOs of vVARDIS, said: ‘We are excited to be partnering with mydentist as we continue to expand and grow. Entering into the UK to offer Curodont with the country’s leading dental provider will accelerate our ability to serve dental patients and professionals globally and as dentists, we’re delighted to bring a drill-free treatment for early decay that aims to elevate the standard of care for patients around the world.’

Curodont Repair will be available across 100 mydentist practices from November and across the whole network from 2026. To book the treatment, patients are encouraged to find and contact their nearest mydentist practice to enquire about Curodont. If it is available at their practice, the team will be able to advise patients on booking an appointment for an examination with a dentist, who will assess their suitability.

Each course of treatment is competitively priced from £140 and to drive enhanced value to its patients, mydentist will offer one tube of Curodont Protect (RRP £20) with every Curodont Repair treatment purchased.
