This year’s Dental Industry Awards saw 21 ADG members take home trophies and the ADG itself win the Excellent use of PR award.
The Association of Dental Groups (ADG) team scooped the winner’s trophy for Excellent use of PR at FMC’s Dental Industry Awards 2025. The ADG submitted its ‘Creating Dental Oases’ campaign which sought to offer solutions to the issue of ‘dental deserts’.
The winning submission
The Creating Dental Oases white paper published in June focused on the massive gap in the dental workforce and the solution deploying international dentists can offer. By highlighting poignant case studies, the story got significant national news pick up. These included a dentist with a master’s degree from Egypt working in McDonald’s while in the long overseas registration examination (ORE) process.
Three weeks later, the resulting press interest triggered a statement by the health minister at a televised select committee session. During this, Stephen Kinnock MP demanded a plan from the General Dental Council (GDC) to unblock the ORE bottleneck.
Hosted at the prestigious Wembley venue, ADG member groups went up to the podium a total of 21 times during the evening as award after award was announced. It was an excellent evening and such a great moment to recognise and celebrate the creative work being carried out day-to-day across the dentistry profession.
