Manrina Rhode sits down with mentee Kirsty Lewis to talk about how she found her passion and purpose in dentistry, and the key to unlocking your true potential.
In the latest episode of Manrina’s Mentorship Podcast, I sat down with Dr Kirsty Lewis, one of my inspiring mentees.
Kirsty’s journey into dentistry is unique – she transitioned from a career in dietetics, driven by a passion for oral health. This background allows her to approach patient care holistically, connecting the dots between nutrition, oral health and overall wellbeing.
Kirsty shared how her knowledge of dietetics has transformed her consultations, as she educates patients on how diet affects both dental and general health. She also emphasised the importance of self-care for dentists, especially in high-stress roles, with insights into nutrition, exercise, and mental wellbeing.
Kirsty’s passion for cosmetic dentistry led her to join my Designing Smiles – Veneer Course and the Manrina Rhode Mentorship Programme, where she has honed her skills in aesthetic dentistry.
Through mentorship, Kirsty has gained confidence, technical expertise, and a deeper connection to her work. As she noted, having a mentor provides invaluable support, helping her navigate both the technical and personal challenges of dentistry.
Community feel
One of the highlights of our mentorship programme is the community we have built. Kirsty has found inspiration and encouragement from peers who share her commitment to growth and excellence.
And with exclusive learning opportunities – such as our upcoming training day with communication expert Ashley Latter – Kirsty and her peers continue to elevate their patient care.
If you’re ready to enhance your skills, grow alongside like-minded dentists, and rediscover your passion for dentistry, consider joining the Manrina Rhode Mentorship Programme. Like Kirsty, you may find that mentorship is the key to unlocking your true potential.
