The 2024 North of England Dentistry Show – ‘one of the best’

‘I’d definitely advise coming along’: The 2024 North of England Dentistry took place last weekend. Missed out? Find out what the attendees thought and what went on…

The 2024 North of England Dentistry – FMC’s biggest show yet – took place last Saturday 9 March at Manchester Central Convention Centre.

With the highest number of attendees so far, it was an enormous success.

Gillian Graham from Independent Care Plans UK said: ‘It’s been really good and one of the best shows that we’ve had. We’ve had a lot of leads, more than we normally do – and these have been good quality, too.

‘I always attend shows but this has been the most successful. I think people are definitely investing in attending these shows so I’d definitely advise coming along.’

In addition, 92% of our attendees said they would return again next year. Find out why it was such a success below…

Theatres

Across 12 lecture theatres, the North of England Dentistry Show informed, inspired and educated in every area of the profession. And best of all, each lecture was CPD-verified, meaning attendees went home with hours of CPD in their pockets.

Benjamin Marriott’s lecture on transgender inclusion in dentistry and Sakina Syed’s on menopause and oral health were particular stand-out topics for the attendees.

We also introduced brand new lecture theatres to the event, including the Women in Dentistry Theatre and the Hot Topics Theatre.

The Women in Dentistry Theatre held a number of interactive sessions from inspiring female leaders in the dental field. Over at the Hot Topics Theatre, speakers explored some of the biggest topics of the profession, including what’s really going on in dentistry.

There was also a panel discussion from Martina Hodgson, Morven McCauley, Angela Auluck, Catherine Rutland and Anushika Brogan on everything from the secret to growth to what women in dentistry are thinking.

A number of these lectures were recorded and will be available to view very soon, so stay tuned!

Clinical Dentistry Theatre Three, proudly sponsored by Avant Garde and Smile Dental Academy, was another brand new theatre at the show. With many of the profession’s biggest names lecturing, such as Milad Shadrooh and The Apprentice’s Paul Midha, the theatre was dedicated to empowering dental professionals with the latest advancements and techniques.

Exhibitors

Over 100 dental brands graced the exhibitors hall last weekend, showcasing the latest technology and clinical advice. It’s a rare chance to see cutting-edge dental products and technologies up close, all under one roof.

With something there for everyone, attendees were able to get face-to-face with the newest products and services.

Most excitingly, a number of exhibitors performed live demos and had exclusive product offers.
