So easy a prosthodontist can do it: modern materials for treating the edentulous arch

Join Miles Cone on Wednesday 13 September at 7pm as he discusses the modern materials for treating the edentulous arch – sign up now.

Even as the dental profession moves further into the digital realm, analog impression materials continue to play a significant role in the daily workflow of the restorative clinician to treat edentulous patients with and without implants.

With so many options available on the market, deciding on which product to use in the operatory often proves to be an overwhelming endeavour.

This one hour webinar will discuss many of the benefits and clinical applications of the newest generation of hybrid elastomeric impression materials that facilitate accurate, predictable, and high-quality replicas of oral structures and prosthetic components to ensure enhanced patient outcomes.

Learning outcomes

  • Identify the two types of impression materials that are used to produce vinylsiloxanether (VSXE)
  • Review the key advantages and benefits of hybrid-impressions materials such as VSXE
  • Recognise the most common shortcomings with polyether impression materials
  • Establish a restorative armamentarium utilising the most appropriate silicone-based impression materials for the various phases of treatment in the edentulous/implant arch.
