Corus, a global digital dental laboratory group, has expanded into the UK market by joining forces with Byrnes Dental Laboratory.

Corus, a global digital dental laboratory group, has expanded into the UK market by joining forces with Byrnes Dental Laboratory.

Corus is a leading digital dental laboratory group consisting of 74 labs across Europe.

This week, it announced its integration into the United Kingdom by joining forces with Byrnes Dental Laboratory.

This comes after the company sought to ‘further consolidate Corus European footprint and leadership serving high-end digital prosthesis and orthodontics to advanced dental clinics in nine European countries.’

Jeroen Van Asten, co-CEO at Corus, said: ‘This move will enhance our skills, consolidate our position as leaders in Europe, and allure other entrepreneurs willing to write together a new chapter in advanced digital dentistry for benefit of dentists and the patients.’

This new integration will see Corus offer its products and services in the UK on top of Spain, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and Norway through 74 laboratories and more than 1,650 employees.

As well as this, the company plans to further develop in the UK market by integrating more laboratories.

A shared vision

Byrnes Dental Laboratory, based in founded in 2006 by Tony and Ashley Byrne, has become a reference in digital dental prosthesis in the UK and abroad.

Joining forces with the lab is Corus’ first step in its plan to expand further into England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland by integrating reputed and advanced UK dental laboratories.

Corus currently serves over 13,000 dental practices and more than 1.5 million patients globally. The company works as a fully integrated digital platform.

Now a shareholder of Corus, Ashley will contribute to the company’s development strategy in the UK. He will also play a key role Corus’ continuous product and services innovation, all while maintaining his responsibilities at Byrnes Dental Laboratory.

Ashley said: ‘Everyone at Byrnes Dental is incredibly excited to join the Corus family, working alongside many of Europe’s leading dental labs.

‘This will enhance and improve our offering to new levels of high-end technical dentistry for our clients and patients.’
