The Bollywood Dentist presents the Dil Se Ball 2023

With the newest Bollywood Dentist event on the horizon, the Dil Se Ball, Chetan Sharma tells us what the evening will entail and how it will support the charity Wells on Wheels.

What is the Bollywood Dentist Ball?

The Bollywood Dentist Facebook group was formed during the pandemic as a way for dental colleagues to connect and share their love for Indian cinema.

To our surprise, the group quickly gained popularity and we decided to take it to the next level by organising a Bollywood themed charity ball. This event, held annually, has become our flagship event and has raised significant funds for charitable causes.

We are excited to announce that we are now preparing for our third instalment of the event, the Dil Se Ball on Saturday 25 February at the National Motorcycle Museum Birmingham, with the goal of making it even bigger and better than before.

Join us in celebrating Bollywood and giving back to the community.

What can attendees expect from the evening?

The Dil Se Ball promises to be an unforgettable evening of amazing entertainment and exquisite food.

We have lined up live performances by world-renowned singer Navin Kundra, and the sensational Afrodesi dancers, which will be sure to leave you mesmerised.

The event will include a four course meal prepared by award-winning caterers, which is sure to please your taste buds.

To keep the party going all night, we have invited international DJs Cloud 9 who will be playing the best of Bhangra, Bollywood, and R&B music.

You will be able to dance the night away to the vibrant beats of live dhol drums. And that’s not all – we have also arranged for a free bar and unlimited alcohol, so you can drink to your heart’s content.

Tell us about the charity Wells on Wheels – what do you hope to achieve through the event?

Every year, the Bollywood Dentist group proudly supports and donates all of its proceedings to the Wells on Wheels charity founded by Shaz Memon.

The charity distributes water drums on wheels as an alternative for women and girls in a rural village in India who risk their health daily carrying heavy buckets of water on their heads to their communities. This age-old system of water transportation also impacts negatively on the education of young girls.

Through the Dil Se Ball and your support, we believe we can distribute more water drums by gifting the innovative water wheels to rural communities, allowing more time to be free for the girls to attend school and have an education.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

The event has been meticulously planned over many months by the functional committee. This consists of myself, Adjay Southi, Jaswinder Gill, Moonis Iqbal, Shameek Popat, Shilpa Murthy and Pooja Singh.

We are ever so grateful to our sponsors – Smilefast, Dental Compliance Made Easier, Advanced Dental Laboratories, Blueprint Dental and Mismile – for sponsoring the event.

Attending the Bollywood charity ball will be a fun, memorable, and meaningful experience that is not to be missed. So come out and enjoy a night of music, dance and culture all while supporting a good cause.

We look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday 25 February at the National Motorcycle Museum. The event is open to all – not just dentists!
