Dürr Dental presents a new high-end scanner for simultaneous scanning of two image plates at the same time.
Intelligent, time-efficient, high-quality. With Vistascan Ultra View, global specialist Dürr Dental has launched a high-end device that is capable of scanning all formats of image plate. It is specially designed to meet the tough demands of clinics and larger dental practices.
‘The patented PCS Scan Technology for exceptional image quality even for the finest structures forms the basis of the success story of the Vistascan family. It goes without saying that this technology is also at the heart of the Ultra View system’, explains product manager Michael Maier.
‘Not only this, but this is the only scanner in the world with RFID technology. As well as two slots so that users can scan and digitise two image plates at the same time; and therefore save valuable time’, he adds.
Another bonus is the easy insertion concept. Thanks to this innovation, users are able to insert multiple image plates quickly one after the other.
Just like all the other devices in the Vistascan View family, users can integrate Ultra View in the practice network via LAN or WLAN. And it can also handle multiple scan tasks from different PCs.
These are displayed with the aid of the Scan Manager on the hygienic, high-resolution 7″ touchscreen display, which is made of glass.
AI-assistance
In addition, in combination with Vistascan image plates IQ and the imaging software Vistasoft, Ultra View offers a range of helpful, AI-assisted additional functions.
‘A good feature to mention here is the automated image plate quality check’, says Maier.
‘Here, the system assesses the condition of the image plate. It automatically recommends a replacement if necessary to ensure that image quality remains consistently high at all times.’
Another new AI feature checks the orientation of intraoral X-ray images. It uses the anatomical features seen in the image. And then it corrects the orientation if necessary.
This step alone would need performing manually many times a day otherwise.
