Just shy of 40 million fewer courses of dental treatment have been carried out in England on the NHS since the start of the Covid pandemic. That amounts to a whole year’s worth of treatment. The BDA describes the system as ‘rotten’.
Dentist successfully fights vicarious liability claim in court
A dentist successfully challenged a vicarious liability claim at the Court of Appeal, in a case that had ‘serious repercussions’ within dentistry. Raj Rattan had the decision overturned after previously being told he was liable for his associate’s work.
