kerr legacyPaul Byfleet invites you to explore the legacy products that made Kerr what it is today.

Your patients and your practice depend on you, and you can depend on us. For 130 years Kerr has supported dentists just like you.

Discover some of our most trusted products and experience the Kerr L=legacy for yourself with Vertise Flow, Optibond Solo Plus, Herculite XRV Ultra, NX3 Nexus Third Generation, and Tempbond.

A breakthrough in adhesive dentistry

Our leadership in resin restorative dentistry comes after decades of innovation in dental composites and expertise in dental adhesives. Both of which come together in Vertise Flow, the first self-adhering flowable dental composite powered by Optibond.

It greatly simplifies your direct restorative procedures by incorporating a bonding agent into a flowable. So, with this flowable dental composite there is no need to bond separately. It reduces steps and saves time.

Vertise Flow shares the same characteristic inherent in self-etch materials. It also reduces the chance of post-operative sensitivity.

Vertise Flow self-adhering flowable composite uses therefore include:

  • Liner under large class I and II restorations
  • Small class I and II restorations
  • Pit and fissure sealant
  • Porcelain repairs.

A truly universal bond

Among some of the most exciting products available from Kerr is Optibond Solo Plus. This is a total-etch, single-component dental adhesive for virtually every clinical application. It is available in bottle and Unidose delivery.

Ethanol-based and 15% filled with Kerr’s proprietary 0.4μm filler, Optibond Solo Plus reinforces dentine tubules at much greater depths than unfilled or nano-filled systems. This means improved long-term stability and also outstanding bond strengths with direct and indirect applications.

Strength and aesthetics

Herculite has been the industry standard for dental composites for over 20 years.

True to the Kerr legacy of developing innovative, quality products for dentistry, Kerr made history again with the Herculite XRV Ultra nanohybrid composite.

Based on the latest nanofiller technology, in addition to offering improved handling, polishability and wear resistance, Herculite XRV Ultra delivers an improved life-like appearance to final restorations. It replicates the opalescence and fluorescence of the natural tooth.

Given its exceptional aesthetics, this light-cured material is designed for direct placement of all anterior and posterior composites. There is a wide variety of enamel and dentine shades available. These also include XL enamel shades for bleached and deciduous teeth. As well as light incisal shades for a high level of translucency.

Colour-stable adhesive resin cement

Universally indicated for all indirect applications, award-winning* NX3 Nexus Third Generation is a permanent adhesive dental cement system. It has an innovative chemistry for unmatched aesthetics, adhesion and great versatility (*recipient of The Dental Advisor’s 2019 Preferred Product).

Delivery system choices also include an automix syringe for dual-cure indications. And a light-cure cement for multiple units where unlimited work time is needed.

The automixing dual-cure cement can be used for all indirect applications, including veneers.

With Kerr’s proprietary amine-free initiator system and optimised resin matrix, NX3 is therefore the first truly colour-stable adhesive resin cement.

Award-winning temporary cement

Temp-Bond is a self-curing, zinc-oxide, eugenol-based temporary cement indicated for temporary crowns, bridges or splints, and for trial cementing permanent restorations.

Its smooth flow allows for exceptional handling. It results in effortless and complete restoration seating.

So impressive is the Temp-Bond range that Temp-Bond NE, non-eugenol temporary cement, won The Dental Advisor 2017 Product Award in the Cements: Temporary, Non-Eugenol category.

Temp-Bond NE non-eugenol temporary zinc-oxide cement offers an option for patients allergic to eugenol. It does not inhibit the polymersation of permanent resin cements and acrylic temporaries. Yet also provides the same flow and retentive properties of Temp-Bond.

Completing the range, Temp-Bond Clear is a dual cure, eugenol-free, transparent, resin-based cement for temporary and provisional restorations.

Available in a convenient automix syringe, it offers dual curing for added security and flexibility, ease of handling, excellent bond strength, yet easy removal from preparations when users desire.

Temp-Bond Clear offers superior aesthetic results thanks to its high translucency and colour stability. Whilst also delivering optimal consistency for complete temporary restoration seatings.
