Wealthwide launches to help give dentists financial freedom

Wealthwide is launching in the UK to provide dentists with financial freedom to get more out of life.

The financial advice company helps dentists to see their full financial picture. It allows dental professionals the opportunity to focus on what they really want in life, with security and peace of mind.

Thomas Dickson, managing director of Wealthwide, brings with him more than 20 years working with dentists. Thomas worked with creative agency Studiolr to rebrand Essential Money to become Wealthwide.

‘We often support dentists when they reach a crossroads in their lives and need help in working out what lifestyle they want and can afford to have now and in the future,’ Mr Dickson says.

‘As a result of COVID, the subsequent lockdown and some of the issues presented by the new working environment, there’s an increasing number of dentists that are questioning their work/life balance.

‘Our role is to put the numbers on the big life decisions. We help clients to understand the answers to some of the important questions they’re likely to ask; what happens if I earn less money? Can I afford to move house? And do I need to work beyond 60?’

Wealthwide

Wealthwide’s planning services help dentists to better understand their financial options.

The team helps to answer tricky questions such as:

  • When can I afford to stop working?
  • What rate of investment return do I need to do all the things I hope to do?
  • Can I afford to sell my practice?
  • Will downsizing my home in the future release enough funds to support my retirement?
  • Will I still be able to live comfortably if I give money to my children?

As part of the rebrand, Wealthwide is pledging £5,000 to the BDA Benevolent Fund. The donation comes as requests from dental students, dentists and their families seeking help has increased 120% during the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Wealthwide’s donation will allow us to provide necessary support such as contributions towards rent or mortgages, food and household bills for those who cannot afford it at this time and helping them to move forward,’ general manager, Laura Hannon, says.
