My journey from NHS to private practice
Louise Hunter talks through her journey from NHS to private practice and what it’s meant for her.
Like many dentists who have considered making the move from NHS dentistry to private practice, Louise Hunter, owner and principal dentist at Louise Hunter & Associates, was apprehensive about how the change would be received by her patients and how successful the move would be.
Louise had worked in the NHS since 2003. But in 2017 she was finding it harder and harder to hit NHS targets. She and her staff felt like they were on a never-ending treadmill.
Moving to private dentistry
Louise decided to do something about it. In 2017, she made the decision to make the move to private dentistry with the support of Practice Plan.
Jayne Gibson, Louise’s regional support manager, helped her to make the smooth transition from NHS dentistry to private. Now Louise is enjoying her dentistry more than ever. She is able to spend more time with her patients to deliver excellent quality treatment.
If you are feeling like Louise was and think now is the right time for you to make the move to private dentistry, then Practice Plan can help you make the first step.
