Dentistry Question Time – three days to go

Dentistry Question TimeDentistry Question Time will kick off next week – and this is your chance to get your questions answered about the future of NHS dentistry.

In our first ever Dentistry Question Time debate, our expert panel will discuss one of the most relevant topics – is there a future for NHS dentistry after COVID-19?

And you have the chance to ask the questions that you want answered.

The brand new event will take place on Tuesday 2 March 2021 at 7pm. Running for two hours, it will feature representatives from all corners of dentistry:

  • Simon Thackery – private dentist based in Nottinghamshire
  • Eddie Crouch – chair of the British Dental Association (BDA)
  • Clare Robinson – NHS dentist based in Liverpool
  • Nigel Jones – sales and marketing director at Practice Plan.

Great opportunity

We’ve received a selection of pertinent questions so far including:

  • What do you think targets will look like after 31st March 2021?
  • Do you expect NHS contracts/funding to remain at similar levels over the next five to ten years?
  • Do you foresee dental therapists being utilised in the NHS more post-pandemic?

‘The last year has thrown an abundance of unforeseen challenges at the dental profession,’ Julian English, editorial director at FMC, says.

‘In particular, there’s a lot of questions surrounding NHS dentistry and how the pandemic will shape its direction. The first round table – Is there a future for NHS dentistry after COVID-19? – is a must-see for both NHS and private dental teams as we head into 2021.

‘From dentist to hygienist, it is also a great opportunity to ask the questions that you want answered.

‘We hope Dentistry Question Time will ignite some healthy debate, with a focus on the most relevant issues facing the profession right now.’
