Dentistry Scotland Awards – One Eighty Dental Bishopbriggs
Laureen Gallagher talks through what it was like to take home an accolade at the 2020 Dentistry Scotland Awards.
How does it feel to have won an award?
It is a great honour and accomplishment to win a Dentistry Scotland Award.
It really enhances team moral and encourages staff to push themselves and meet targets that we set.
Did you enjoy the awards evening?
We love the awards night every year. We always look forward to it as a team.
This year was virtual. So unfortunately, we missed out on the party and nightlife. But we did get together as a team in work to watch and still felt the same buzz when our shortlisted categories were called.
We cannot wait for it to come back in 2021.
Why did you choose to enter the awards?
We love the awards and feel it gives staff and patient satisfaction a real big boost.
There is nothing nicer than our patients commenting on our awards within our reception area.
What do you think the awards are doing to the standards within the profession?
We feel it definitely raises the standards of the profession and pushes practices to excel in certain areas.
We, as a team, are always trying to push ourselves to be bigger and better and the awards give us a target to work towards.
Why do you think you won?
We feel One Eighty Dental is a really well-run family environment.
We really love working in our practice and are passionate about patient care and dental as a whole.
These attributes come across within our entries and what we do really resonates with adjudicators.
Have you noticed a difference in patient numbers/in the practice since winning the award?
Most definitely. There is nothing better than marketing that you are the best at something and we feel it really drives new patients to our practice.
Will you will be entering the awards again this year?
Absolutely. We are currently in the process of opening a new practice and cannot wait to get our other practice in for award categories too.
Anything else you’d like to add?
One Eighty Dental love the awards annually and really look forward to getting glammed up and having a good night with our team.
Whether we win an award or not, we still have an excellent night and love the whole atmosphere and set up of the night.
