We chat to Martina Hodgson about how COVID-19 created some unique opportunities – and how a cadaveric dissection helped her to choose her dental school.
In our latest podcast episode, we welcome Dr Martina Hodgson, a dentist and practice owner based in Yorkshire.
We chat about her journey into dentistry and why she decided to follow the route into the cosmetic world.
We also discuss the pros and cons of virtual consultations and why, following the COVID-19 pandemic, they are more important than ever.
‘Since the age of 13 when I had metal braces, I’d wanted to be an orthodontist. But I was also a violinist,’ she says.
‘I had the choice between whether to be a professional violinist or be a dentist. I actually just thought that dentistry had a little bit more job security. So I went for it.
‘Leeds University was my top choice mainly because they did the cadaver dissection.’
