DJ Khaled wears full hazmat suit to dental practice
DJ Khaled donned plenty of PPE, including a full hazmat suit, as he left his home for the first time in more than three months – in order to get a root canal.
The American DJ took to the internet to reveal the precautions he was taking as he ventured out to visit his dentist.
Dressed in a full hazmat suit – as well as a mask and gloves – he said his first post-lockdown trip was to get root canal treatment after suffering with dental pain for 15 years.
In a selection of slides on Instagram, the record producer showed a number of dental professionals working to get his mouth pain-free.

He also shared a video of the procedure to his 20.4 million followers after explaining that a tooth had been causing him continuous discomfort.
‘I’m going to go to a special dental surgeon and have them take the whole rest of the tooth out,’ he says.
‘I refuse to accept this pain that I’ve been having for 15 years.’
This comes as the British Association of Private Dentistry (BAPD) calls on the government to change PPE requirements for UK dentistry.
New primary care requirements include social distancing, increased levels of PPE and a fallow period to allow for viral settling in the surgery setting.
But addressing Public Health England (PHE), the open letter argued the current guidance ‘is having a detrimental effect on the standards of achievable dental care’. As a result, it says it could have ‘potentially disastrous’ consequences for the profession.
The group is calling for a change to the 60-minute fallow period currently required. Additionally, they are urging PPE requirements to be reconsidered.
