CPD Dentistry UK kicked off this morning with hundreds of dental professionals looking to cover their recommended GDC subjects.
Philip Lewis started the free-to-attend event with standing room only available in the lecture hall.
The one-day seminar promises to offer a ‘substantial volume’ of delegates’ required CPD, including all GDC recommended subjects.
‘It’s a great line up of speakers at a free-to-attend event, so it’s no wonder so many delegates have come to the event,’ Craig Welling, FMC commercial director, said.
‘We think this is also a great networking opportunity for all attendees too, with hundreds of like-minded colleagues and some of the leading companies in the dental sector showcasing the very best products in dentistry.
‘This is becoming one of the must-attend events in the dental calendar.’
CPD Dentistry UK
Created for every member of the dental team, this is the 16th CPD conference FMC has run.
This is the first time FMC has run CPD as a free-to-attend event.
This new breed of CPD conference includes a leading line up of speakers:
- Philip Lewis – discussing oral cancer
- Kevin Lewis – talking about legal and ethical issues
- Jimmy Makdissi – on radiography and radiation protection
- Pat Langley – talking about safeguarding children and adults at risk
- Martin Fulford – on disinfection and decontamination
- Ian Corbett – lecturing about medical emergencies.
‘Core CPD is always a good thing to come and get,’ Kelly Nicholl, hygiene therapist working with the military, said.
‘It’s not something easy to get all in the one place and all in the one day.
‘It’s a way to meet everybody else as well and network.
‘The day has been really good, most things that you go to that cover core CPD can be quite dry, especially law and ethics, but the speakers here have made it really entertaining, the speakers have been fantastic.’
