Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, Giovanni Pernice, is on track to complete orthodontic treatment with clear aligner therapy in time for the 15th series of the show, which kicks off in September.
Last year, Giovanni’s Strictly partner, Coronation Street actress Georgia-May Foote, underwent Invisalign treatment, which piqued Giovanni’s interest in the treatment.
‘A smile, especially when you work in television, is one of the most important things’, explained Giovanni.
‘In fact I always say the smile is one of the most important things – it is what everyone looks at first – and I always wanted my teeth to look better.
‘I was very conscious of my teeth. Soon they will be much better. Thanks to Invisalign, you will see me with a different smile.’
Flexible treatment
Giovanni’s treating dentist, Dr Rhona Eskander, added: ‘Gio is a dream of a patient, he complies 100% by wearing his aligners 22 hours a day, no matter whether he is working, training or socialising.
‘Whilst everyone will be scrutinising his moves on Strictly, I will be glued to his smile.’
Dr Eskander stated that Giovanni’s misalignment was the result of a deep bite.
