BDA Conference gets the go-ahead after Manchester attack

BDA ConferenceThe British Dental Association (BDA) has told delegates that its conference and exhibition will still be going ahead on 25-27 May.

This comes after the tragic events that took place at the Manchester Arena recently, prompting organisers to reassure visitors that the conference will be going ahead as normal.

Organisers have been in touch with all the relevant authorities, and the message is that Manchester is still open for business and the venue is open as usual too.

Extra security measures have been put in place at the arena as a precaution and the BDA has reminded delegates that there may be travel restrictions when travelling to Manchester.

The Greater Manchester Police have urged the public to remain vigilant, but to go about their daily lives.

‘We are proud to have made Manchester the home for our conference,’ BDA chair, Mick Armstrong, added.

‘We are saddened by the events of last night and our thoughts go out to those affected.’
