The Private Dentistry Awards 2013
The 2013 Private Dentistry Awards will take place on Friday 1 November at the five-star Hilton on Park Lane, London. These prestigious awards recognise and reward the very best in private dentistry. Now in their 13th year, the awards celebrate all that is good in the profession.
The 2013 awards will see the introduction of three new categories that reflect increasing patient expectations of the care they receive and the practices they visit.
This year’s judging panel will be chaired by David Houston along with an esteemed panel of experts.

How to enter
Entering the Private Dentistry Awards couldn’t be easier! Simply decide which categories you want to enter and read the full submission details before submitting your entry. You may enter as many categories as you like for only £60+VAT per category. Please submit 500-1000 words on a CD or USB (or via online file sharing services, such as Dropbox) for each category, together with as much or as little supporting evidence as you would like to send. Please note that printed material will not be accepted and entries cannot be returned.
To ensure your practice is judged as accurately as possible, please ensure you provide as much supporting evidence as possible (photographs, video footage, practice marketing materials, testimonials), so that the judges see a true reflection of the high standards your practice or laboratory offers.

Best Treatment of Nervous Patients – NEW

Best Child Dental Health Initiative – NEW
Children are the future and ensuring easy access to quality oral care is a vital tool in ensuring the dental health of the nation. Do you have an innovative, exciting and unique scheme for ensuring that your young patients look forward to attending your practice and receive outstanding service, designed to meet their specific needs?
Best DCP – NEW
Do you have a key dental care professional (DCP) without whom your practice would crumble? Explain why they are a crucial member of your practice. You may send as much supporting material as you like, including testimonials from within the practice as well as from your patients.
Most Attractive Practice
We all know beauty is more than skin-deep, but demonstrate to us that your practice is a stunning example of outstanding design from photographic and/or video evidence. We seek stunning architectural and interior design icons to inspire us with their style excellence and quality of finish.
Best Endodontic/ Orthodontic/Implant/ Periodontic Practice
The increasing level of patient expectation and advanced care options means that specialist practices are more prevalent than ever. Tell us why your specialist endodontic/ orthodontic/implant/periodontal practice has loyal referrers who support you due to your services, treatments and customer service. Have you created a stunning new practice that has made signifi cant business progress and has grown as a consequence of your labours? Have you combined design, facilities, equipment and working protocols in a short space of time to create a practice to be admired and envied? Your practice must have opened after 1 January 2012.
Best Facial Aesthetics Practice
This discipline is fast becoming an integral part of many dental practices. Have you incorporated such treatments into your existing practice or have you set up a dedicated stand-alone facility? We seek evidence of high clinical standards with good treatment outcomes. Have you been involved in a charity project at home or abroad that has helped your fellow man? Are you focused on more than profit margins? Show us the difference your actions or projects have made to the health and welfare of a community. We seek evidence of tangible benefits from your efforts.
Is your boss an outstanding leader who cares for their team and recognises the needs of the individual while leading by example? Tell us why it is a pleasure to work for your employer and how they inspire your team with their managerial style.

Practice of the Year – North/South
Is your practice the outstanding example of overall excellence in your region? Tell us how you combine the best of clinical care, team development, customer service, patient care and business acumen in outstanding facilities to create the ideal practice. Practices located in or north of Birmingham should enter the ‘north’ category, while practices south of Birmingham should enter the 'south'.
