A key conference in the dental calendar takes place in Liverpool next month (11-12 November).
Staged at the BT Convention Centre, ACC Liverpool, the Pan Dental Society Conference promises to offer something for all general dental practitioners.
The British Endodontic Society is a sponsor of Postgraduate Education at the Pan Dental Society Conference and organisers include the British Society of Periodontology, the British Society for Restorative Dentistry and the British Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry.
The four societies decided that 2011 would be a good year to hold the second Pan Dental Society Conference, the previous one in 2007 being hailed a resounding success.
Keynote speaker is Professor Keith Porter who will talk about his involvement with the care of our wounded soldiers arriving back from Afghanistan.
Professor Damien Walmsley, chair of the Pan Dental Society organising committee, says: ‘Everyone agrees that the first Pan Dental Society Conference in 2007 was a resounding success. Therefore the four societies decided that 2011 would be a good year to hold the 2nd Pan Dental Society Conference.
‘We hope very much that those who were present the first time will take the opportunity to again meet up and that this year’s topics will attract new delegates. This coming together of the four societies allows us to broaden our horizons and provide networking with other disciplines. The conference will also offer the opportunity to discuss new developments in technology and professional life and will be of importance to all in the dental profession, consequently we expect a large number of delegates to attend from outside the four societies.’
