A competition with a prize of a life-changing makeover is up for grabs.
A dentist and an aesthetic surgeon have joined forces to create a ‘fairytale in a recession’ with help from a whole host of professions and businesses in the North East.
Dentistry award-winner Mike Heads, of the Dental Healthcare Centre and Cleveland Cosmetic and Dental Implant Clinic, conjured up Dream Image North East along with Paul Baguley, a consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon, and the campaign is on the hunt for a deserving member of the public to win a complete makeover experience.
All they have to do is be nominated with a reason why they deserve to win.
Dream Image North East wants to hear about individuals wishing to change the appearance of their mouth/smile and face/body.
This could be someone who has put others first, while possibly neglecting themselves, someone who has always been unhappy with their appearance, someone whose appearance affects their confidence or someone who has had dental or facial trauma.
From nominations received (from the person themselves, friends or family), the shortlisted nominees will undergo a consultation with Mike Heads and Paul Baguley and three finalists will be chosen, out of which one deserving person – chosen by public vote – will be the recipient of this life-changing gift.
The organisers also hope the event will put the North East on the map as a caring community.
Linda Heads, project organiser and co-ordinator and practice director at The Dental Healthcare Centre and Cleveland Cosmetic and Dental Implant Clinic, (pictured above with husband Mike at an awards ceremony) says: ‘Isn’t it time our professions were shown to work together in the local area and show the rest of the country we are proud of the life-changing work we are capable of and that we are generous enough to give as well as receive?’
Other companies involved in the project include Designer Dental Marketing, Diamond Press and Design, Rockliffe Hall, TFM Radio, Vita Medi-Spa, Impressions (chiropody ∧ beautician), Happy Leaves (website designer), PDS Dental Laboratory, Nobelbiocare (dental implant materials), Market Cross Jewellers, Gary Walsh Photography, Hooker and Young Hairdressers, Tees Active Ltd, The House – Yarm and Punch Robson Solicitors.
The lucky winner will receive treatments to transform their appearance which can include extensive dental and cosmetic treatments as well as health, beauty and hair therapies.
When all of the treatments are complete, there will be an ‘unveiling’ at a luxurious five-star hotel with the winner wearing winning eveningwear and accompanying jewellery.
This gift, potentially worth tens of thousands of pounds and available to men and women, will not only give the lucky person a truly life changing experience, but will help raise awareness of the professionalism and expertise available in the area.
