Dentists in Kent are offering free dental products to patients who complete the NHS stop smoking course.
NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent’s Stop Smoking Service has teamed up with 10 dental practices to encourage people to stop smoking.
Each year, more than 3,000 cases of oral cancer are diagnosed in the UK, alongside conditions including gum disease, tooth loss, staining, halitosis and hairy tongue.
The free dental bag contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash and lip balm. All these products draw attention to the cosmetic impact of giving up smoking.
