High-street retailer Superdrug is planning to launch dental services such as teeth whitening for a trial period.
The service starts later this month and, as well as whitening, will include breath freshening and hygienist treatments, which will be carried out in consultation rooms and will cost from £35 to £350.
Superdrug trading director Jeff Wemyss said the service aims to be a convenient and value-for-money alternative to ‘designer’ cosmetic dentistry clinics.
He said: ‘We don’t expect customers to stop going to their usual dentist, but to use our services as an addition to their normal dental routine.’
The health and beauty retailer will launch the service in three stores (London Kensington High Street, Milton Keynes and Birghton), in conjunction with dental company SmileStore.
