Photography and visualisation: the dream combination

This lecture aims to demystify the requirements for taking clinical photographs in dental practice.

Photography and visualisation go hand-in-hand and will drastically change the way clinicians practice dentistry. The role of visualisation will be discussed, and the impact on outcomes and on health and musculo-skeletal wellness it can provide. This lecture will also outline the photography equipment that is required, and will demonstrate the standard views that are undertaken as part of our clinical records.

Speaker: Shiraz Khan

Dr Shiraz Khan graduated from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 2013. Having successfully completed foundation training and winning several prizes, he finished his dental core training in a range of specialisms including Restorative Dentistry at Croydon University Hospital, Guys and St Thomas’s. He is currently placed in private practice in the heart of London and suburban Hemel Hempstead. Shiraz has heightened his profile at this albeit early stage, being invited to lecture to young dentists around the country, as well as having lectured internationally. He has recently completed his Masters in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Birmingham and invests time into his career development and experience, regularly sharing with like-minded professionals.
