Utilising direct access for hygienists and therapists

A guide to help dental hygienists are therapists feel confident in utilising direct access. Not only to help them have more autonomy but to also help improve patient access to care and in turn help grow their own business profile as well as their practices.

• This dental webinar is aimed to help and support dental hygienists and therapists who would like to work under ‘Direct Access’. The webinar will explain what direct access means, when it started, what can be done under it, why direct access is important, look at the limitations, how to gain valid consent and highlight considerations to be taken
• The webinar will be show DHTs how to implement DA, how to communicate with their practice and patients as well as how to drive new patients to the practice via direct access
• The webinar will include case studies of patients who have been treated under direct access by a hygienist and include information on treatment planning, record keeping and referrals. It will also look at business acumen and revenue potential as well as feature a Q&A at the end.
