Speaker: Maria Fernandez
Maria is originally from Seville, a beautiful city in southern Spain.
She graduated as a Dentist in her hometown. After graduating, Maria wanted to achieve one of her lifelong ambitions: travel and experience life and culture in a different country.
Since she arrived in 2007, she has been working in general dentistry, allowing her to utilise her dental skills to deliver high standards of dental treatment to various patients.
During the past few years, Maria hasn’t stopped learning and improving her knowledge of dentistry. Her main interests are Orthodontics and Oral Surgery. She achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics and worked voluntarily with Mercy Ships (a non-profit organisation that does charitable work) in Sierra Leone. Maria says she found this experience ‘very challenging yet rewarding at the same time.'
Maria considers herself very patient, considerate, empathetic, and a good communicator, qualities she believes are vital for patient care.
