Bilkis Hussain
Bilkis was born and educated in the Middle East.
She continued her university studies at the University of Nottingham, where she pursued an MSc in health psychology.
Bilkis has also completed an ILM Level 7 Diploma in leadership and management.
Over the last 10 years, Bilkis has worked in various roles in dentistry, including stop smoking specialist advisor, dental practice management, and compliance consultancy.
Prior to joining Apolline, Bilkis worked as a lecturer in psychology at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi and as operations manager for a dental practice in West London.
Bilkis has produced podcasts for NICE and has served as a co-opted specialist expert for the implementation and development of the first NICE guidelines on the use of smokeless tobacco.
Additionally, Bilkis has written journal articles for the Dental Nursing Journal and presented papers at international NCSCT conferences.
As the head of compliance at Apolline, Bilkis possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing successful dental practices. She has assisted practices in reopening and excelling in CQC inspections that were previously in breach of CQC regulated activities. Moreover, she has provided support to other practice managers on effective leadership and management.
During her tenure at Apolline, she has supported numerous practices in ensuring compliance with current regulations and has directly participated in many practice inspections, providing firsthand knowledge of CQC requirements.
Bilkis is deeply passionate about compliance and finds great satisfaction in supporting her clients.
