Caries is the most prevalent non-communicable disease worldwide (Petersen et al, 2005). It is a patented, fluoride-free formulation that can be applied by dentists, dental hygienists, or dental therapists.
In a majority of cases, a single application is seen to be enough to treat a lesion. The short in-office application procedure is non-invasive, pain-free, non-staining, does not require anaesthesia or a drill, and needs only basic isolation techniques. It can be used on all tooth surfaces, including interproximal, and in all patients, including children (Natchiyar et al, 2023).
