Thomas Coates
Thomas Coates is a corporate solicitor and managing director of Buxton Coates Solicitors. The firm specialises in acting for dentists and healthcare professionals in all aspects of buying, running and selling their practice.
Thomas has particular specialisms in advising on the sale and purchase of practices and advising on business structures, partnership and shareholder matters along with knowledge of NHS contractual and regulatory issues.
Joel Mannix
Originally from rural Australia, Joel Mannix relocated to Scotland in 2013 and started a career at Christie & Co in 2018.
Since then, Joel has sold practices for clients across the length and breadth of Scotland, from single asset sales to larger group transactions, and has been involved in some landmark sales within the Scottish dental sector.
He was appointed as the company’s head of dental in 2024, where he spearheads the brokerage side of the business, leading an award-winning team of regional dental business advisors.
