Tune in to witness one of the UK’s leading dental experts provide a step-by-step guide to this complex procedure.
Root canal treatment can often be a procedure many dentists approach with trepidation. Tom will demonstrate a live root treatment in real time to help provide an efficient repeatable workflow for you to provide predictable root canal treatments in your own surgery.
Root treatment is a delicate process that requires a thorough understanding of the anatomy of the root canal system, a good access design, and the use of appropriate instrumentation and irrigation systems. You will learn about the latest techniques, instrumentation, and irrigation systems used in endodontics, which can help you provide your patients with high-quality care.
Entire process in detail
During the live root canal treatment, Tom will demonstrate how to perform an access design that allows for easy access to the root canal system. The access design is a crucial step in the treatment as it ensures that the dentist has adequate visibility and access to the canals for proper cleaning and shaping.
He will use a dental operating microscope to provide a magnified view of the tooth and root canal system, which will allow you to see the entire process in detail.
Tom will also demonstrate how to use appropriate instrumentation and irrigation systems to clean and shape the canal. He will discuss the nickel-titanium file system available from Dentsply Sirona that enables faster and more efficient cleaning of the root canal system.
Finally, Dr Brannen will fill the canal with AH+ resin sealer and a modified single cone technique.
