Elements Connect endomotor – perfection in every detail

Elements Connect endomotor – perfection in every detail

Elements Connect is a cordless endomotor with a set of amazing features to make every day work of the endodontist on root canal preparation easier.

One notable feature to highlight initially is the excellent ergonomics of the device. The motor is lightweight and very well balanced. It fits the operator’s hand stably, without causing any muscle strain, joint tension, or fatigue.

The grip has been shaped to make maneuvering the handpiece in the patient’s mouth as easy as possible. The profile of the handpiece surface offers excellent support for the fingers during preparation and vertical movements.

The large, contrasting and ergonomically located screen enables continuous observation of the operating parameters of the endodontic file. It also allows for precise control of the torque and position of the file within the canal, while simultaneously offering the option to activate auto-reverse or auto-reverse/stop programs after reaching the limit parameters for a given endodontic file system.

In my many years of practice, I have never worked with such an ergonomically well-designed endodontic motor that puts so little strain on my hand during the preparation of root canals.

Ergonomics

The size of the head of the device, with an inserted endodontic file, is among the smallest in its class of devices, yet the design of the head itself provides a solid grip for any standard endodontic file. The handpiece has been designed in a way that allows for maximum control over the torque, RPM and the range of rotation angles. This level of control is particularly important when working with reciprocal and adaptive motion, both possible with Elements Connect. Changes in angular value and rotation direction occur multiple times per second during file movement and must be executed in a repeatable and fully controlled manner.

I use two lengths of Zenflex files in my practice. When working with them and the elements connect micromotor, I encountered no difficulties accessing any root canal, regardless of the tooth’s position in the patient’s mouth.

Apex Connect

The built-in ability to work with an external Apex Connect endometer enhances the root canal preparation process by providing continuous control of the endodontic file’s position in relation to the apex of the root canal. Additionally, Apex Connect is a fully functional endometer that enables precise determination of the working length using manual canal tools during canal negotiations before rotational preparation begins.

When connected to elements Connect, it allows for continuous monitoring of the file’s position in the canal during canal preparation and activation of the auto-reverse program upon reaching the working length.

I like the versatility of combining an endometer and an endodontic micromotor. This combination offers the usability and ergonomics of a free-standing endometer while providing continuous control of the working length during root canal preparation when connected to the motor.

Built-in programming

The built-in programming module has saved operating parameters for reciprocal movement, adaptive movement, and all Kerr endodontic file systems. All settings are quickly accessible with a single press of a button, and they can be easily modified in any way as needed. Additionally, regardless of the saved file systems, it’s possible to program operating parameters for any endodontic files available on the market, whether rotary and reciprocal. This makes Elements Connect a versatile tool for every dentist performing endodontic treatment.

Easy access to each program and the ability to quickly change operating parameters greatly simplify my work with this motor and various endodontic files, whether preparing the entrance to the canal, obtaining a glide path, or final preparation of the root canal.

Constant readiness

The system of two batteries and a properly designed charger/stand guarantees the constant readiness of the motor for my work. During root canal preparation, one of the batteries can always be charged on the base, ensuring uninterrupted usage. Thanks to the quick contact charging of the spare battery, the micromotor does not have to be stored on the base at all times, it can remain available on the assistant’s or on the doctor’s table, ready for immediate use.

Kerr has already successfully used similar solutions in their curing lights, and the Elements Connect motor continues to work perfectly in my practice. The micromotor’s ability to remain readily available ensures seamless workflow. I no longer have to remember to place the motor on its stand; instead, it’s always within reach whenever I need it.
