Team expansion to manage business growth at PPD

Patient Plan Direct introduces the newest additions to its team of dedicated staff, hired to support the company’s unprecedented growth.

Patient Plan Direct (PPD), recognised as the most cost-effective major plan provider in the UK, announces a significant expansion of its team across the UK to accommodate company growth driven by highly competitively priced services and exceptional client support.

The first quarter of 2024 has witnessed a surge in practice enquiries seeking to switch to PPD from other major plan providers. Attracted by the prospect of substantial savings, the average practice over the past two years has saved over £10,000 annually when switching to work with PPD.

There has also been an unprecedented increase in NHS to Private conversion enquiries and squat practices looking to implement dental plans, as more practices forego NHS dentistry in favour of the reoccurring income and business stability that private dentistry offers.

In response to this escalating demand, the company has recently welcomed two new hires, bolstering the business development team from six to eight members.

Allison Cruickshank, joins PPD as Scottish business development manager managing new and existing clients across Scotland. With over 15 years of experience in the dental industry and a proven track record of enhancing dental practice profitability, Allison will provide efficient dental plan advice and support in this territory.

Jessica Knight, appointed as the dedicated relationship manager for dental groups, has over 15 years of experience within a practice setting. Her previous roles included being a dental nurse and TCO, which provides invaluable insights into the operational dynamics essential for dental plan success. The expansion of PPD’s group specific team comes off the back of various groups committing to PPD as their preferred plan provider, consolidating to make huge cost savings and buying into the expertise and support to help nurture plan growth.

The PPD client services team has also been restructured, grouped into specialised segments for onboarding new clients, plan fee increase management, Global Dental A&E Scheme processing, and a dedicated training team that continues to empower practice teams to promote dental plan benefits to patients. This change will further strengthen the company’s reputation for providing exceptional client service support and being highly responsive.

Simon Reynolds, managing director, said: ‘As we scale up our team to meet private dental plan demand, we are delighted to welcome two new team members with extensive dental industry backgrounds. Each has seamlessly integrated into our team and has already demonstrated exceptional support to existing clients and trusted advice to those looking to join PPD.

‘These are exciting times for the company as we continue to strengthen the team and bolster our client support.’

With the strategic team expansion and organisational enhancements, Patient Plan Direct is set to continue its trajectory of success as a focused dental plan provider and is on track to achieve its strongest year of growth in its 15-year history.
